Welcome to the blog. Here you're going to find everything from heart-warming marriage stories, to beautiful images of our clients. We want to invite you into our lives.
Austin & Kristin were married at Enchanted acres in Greenwood, SC. Kristin has family in the Greenwood area, so that’s how they knew about the venue and decided to get married there!
Enchanted Acres is little hidden gem, nestled on a backroad, behind lots of trees that lead you down a pathway to the venue. If you’re looking for secluded, peaceful, and quaint, but still easy to access, this venue is it! A huge plus that this venue has is separate, large cabins for the wedding party to get dressed and hang out in. There’s a bridal cabin across from where the ceremony was setup outside the barn, and the groom’s cabin is right beside the other entrance to the barn.
Kristin and Austin have known each other since second grade and they reconnected in high school and even went to their senior prom together. They officially started dating in college, while they were going to schools at opposite ends of the state.
I got the chance to hang out with Austin and Kristin back in April for their engagement session. We met in Prosperity, SC where Kristin’s family lives and her mom drove us all around family land on their golf cart to some of the most perfect spots. I had the best time with them.
Then I got the chance to hang out again with Kristin, her mom, and sister at Enchanted Acres for her bridal portrait session.
Kristin and Austin are both so sweet. On the wedding day, Kristin had her hair and makeup already done when we arrived, and was just relaxing in her cute monogrammed robe and Christmas pjs. When I asked how she was feeling, she just said “ready!”.
Austin was his normal smiley self when we went to say hi to him and his groomsmen in the groom’s cabin, where they were hanging out, eating pizza, and playing pool.
Kristin shared a first look with her dad that was so sweet! He cried before he ever saw her, and then cried some more once he saw her in her wedding dress. Such a sweet moment! Then Kristin and Austin shared their first look, and they were both all smiles. Adorable! I’m so glad they took the time to have a few moments together before the ceremony.
After their first look, we took a few portraits, and then had plenty of time to do all of their wedding party photos and a large majority of their family photos, too. It was a fun time for them to get to spend time with their favorite people before the ceremony began.
Their ceremony was outdoors in a grassy area that overlooked the most perfect, glowy tree lined wooded area outside the barn. It was chilly, but beautiful! Kristin had a super special touch to their ceremony. They had the audio pulled from a VHS tape of her late great-grandfather praying a prayer over a marriage ceremony he performed years ago. It was so sweet and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd after hearing his recorded prayer.
There were so many perfect Christmasy details all over the venue. Kristin’s mom is so talented, she made all of the flower arrangements, and so much more! The venue looked like a wintery, Christmas wonderland. You couldn’t help but smile and feel the warmth they added in every little detail.
Kristin and Austin also had the best variety of impeccable cakes at their dessert bar, as well as a perfectly Christmas hot chocolate and coffee bar. So yummy!
Austin and Kristin, your day was lovely, just like the two of you! We were so happy to be your photographers!!
