A Windy and Wonderful Wedding Day at Gassaway Mansion

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Rachel Hudson and Brody Geddings exchanged vows in a breathtaking ceremony at the historic Gassaway Mansion in Greenville, South Carolina. Their wedding day was nothing short of magical, filled with love, laughter, and the presence of their cherished family and friends.

A Love Story Built in High School & College

Rachel and Brody’s love story began during their time in high school and continued to grow while at Anderson University. Surrounded by an incredible group of close-knit friends, their relationship was built on a foundation of shared experiences, late-night study sessions, and countless adventures together. Their love grew stronger with each passing year, making their wedding day a celebration that everyone had been eagerly anticipating.

Getting Ready For the Day

Rachel and her bridesmaids had the most adorable AirBnb where they stayed the night before the wedding and got ready together. They were all so excited, but calm and ready to start the day when I arrived to photograph Rachel’s bridal details, and of course get some shots of them in their adorable matching PJ sets. We all headed over to Gassaway Mansion where Rachel’s mom helped her into her stunning wedding dress! We took some of my most favorite and fun bridal portraits of Rachel in the bridal suite gracefully twirling and looking like an absolute queen!

A Beautiful and Breezy Ceremony

The ceremony took place on the grand front porch of Gassaway Mansion, framed by towering columns and bathed in golden sunshine. The day was undeniably windy, but rather than hindering the moment, the breeze only added to the ambiance. As she walked down the aisle, escorted by her father, Brody was filled with emotion. The love and excitement between them were palpable as they stood hand in hand, ready to begin their journey as husband and wife.

The officiant spoke of their journey together, their relationship with God as their foundation, the unwavering support they have for one another, and the bright future ahead. When they were pronounced husband and wife, cheers erupted from their loved ones, sealing the moment with joy and celebration. They came up the aisle with smiles and the most perfect dip-kiss that made the best photos!

A Reception to Remember

Following the beautiful ceremony, guests made their way inside Gassaway Mansion for a lively and elegant reception. The décor was a perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern romance, with soft florals, glowing candlelight, and stunning tablescapes that added to the evening’s charm.

As the evening unfolded, the dance floor quickly became the heart of the celebration. From the couple’s first dance as husband and wife to the energetic moves of their friends and family, the night was filled with endless fun. The DJ kept the energy high and had everyone on their feet. The night was filled with laughter, joy, and pure celebration the whole night!

Guests indulged in delicious food, raised their glasses to heartfelt toasts by Rachel’s parents, and shared in the happiness of Rachel and Brody’s new beginning. The love in the room was undeniable, and it was clear that this was not just a wedding—it was a true celebration of two incredible people and the life they are building together.
