This week we did something out of the ordinary for us. We strapped on some microphones, made a little slideshow, and cracked jokes in front of an audience, but it wasn’t as scary as it sounds.
On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to present about our photography business to a local group in Anderson! 1 Million Cups is a FREE, national program for entrepreneurs to share ideas and connect with others.
The program is “based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee”. In other words, we knew it was our kind of group. Haha!
We talked a little about how we run our business and asked the community three questions:
We got some good feedback and are excited to implement some of the advice we received.
Sara Touchet Photography, our generous friend, offered to photograph us presenting, and let me edit the images for my blog! She is the definition of “community over competition”. Thank you, Sara!
Regardless of where you are in your business journey, you should consider presenting at 1 Million Cups. It could even just be a business that you’re interested in starting. You should come present, specifically in Anderson so we can cheer you on! 😉
