If you didn’t know, we love Anderson, SC. It’s the place we’ve come to call home. We met here, we went to college here, and we bought our first home here.
One of the few things we love more than Anderson are the couples we serve. Because we love them so much, we want to make the wedding planning process as fun and simple as possible for brides and their soon to be grooms.
We love brides and we love Anderson, so we want to combine those two loves by offering a listing of some well-known venues, as well as some hidden gems in and near Anderson County.
To help out all the engaged couples out there, we’ve done some of the work for you. We want your day to be as special as possible, and that starts with the perfect venue.
Pelzer, SC Wedding Venue & Winery
Imagine this – it’s your wedding day. You’re under a white tent in a vineyard full of greenery, ripe grapes, and beautiful flowers lining the front of the vines.
The sun is setting behind you, and a breeze is coming through the vines. This is exactly what you can get at City Scape.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating for your guests, the ceremony will have the vineyard in the background, and not to mention, they make their own wine!
City Scape can fit anywhere from 50 – 150 guests depending on your needs.
We were blown away when we went to check out City Scape, the views are gorgeous, and the staff is beyond friendly. (added bonus, you can feed goats!)
Downtown Anderson, SC Historic Wedding Venue
We just adored photographing at the Bleckley Inn over the past few years.
Through the years, we’ve photographed several events at the Bleckley Inn, from corporate events, weddings, and even the “Best Of Anderson” awards. We have loved every one of them!
The Bleckley is a historic figure in Anderson. You can ask anyone from Anderson, and they will tell you about the historic beauty of the Inn.
One of the best things about the Bleckley Inn is any of your guests who come in from out of town can stay right there in the Inn in beautiful Downtown Anderson.
In fact, it’s one of the best venues for anyone who has a lot of guests coming from far away. All they have to do is walk down the stairs, and they are at the wedding!
Inside of the Bleckley Inn, they have the Carriage Room. According to the website, it can seat up to 400 people! They also do catering in-house.
If you like the rustic barn look, then Oxford Farms is for you!
There are a lot of great things about Oxford Farms.
They have cabins you can rent out, which is great for a bride or groom the night before or for any family who doesn’t want to make the drive the day before or wants to stay an extra day.
Their website has several packages you can choose from, and all of them seem reasonably priced.
They can do some of the work for you, or you can do it yourself.
One of our favorite things about Oxford is that you can add a horse and carriage to your wedding. What bride wouldn’t feel like a princess riding into the ceremony on a carriage?
The Deluxe Package (which includes everything), it can fit up to 200 guests.
Starr, SC Country, Outdoor Wedding Venue
We could try and tell you all the different things about Evergreen Plantation, but we think they did an excellent job of doing it themselves,
“This 10,000+ square foot building is the ideal place to dance the evening away. As the grand doors open, the guests are welcomed by the remains of a 150-year-old Walnut Tree.
In its second life, the tree centers the entryway and leads everyone into the grand banquet room of the Lodge. The dance floor sits beneath the Scottish Chandelier and towering stone fireplace.
Complete with a sound system and stage, any band could lead a most perfect waltz all the while onlookers watch from the balcony. The Lodge is completed with a chef’s dream commercial kitchen, the place to prepare a delicious meal.”
One thing that really sets them apart is their grand piano. You can have someone playing while guests arrive!
A 1894 fully restored house, a swimming pool with waterfall, a Colonial Pub, and a 1890s cottage – what more could you ask for? If this sounds like it’s up your alley, check out the Hammond-Preston House.
Stepping on their grounds is like going into the past, but you’ll have the luxury of air-conditioning and heating. One of the joys of the Hammond-Preston House is all of the options they have.
You can have your ceremony in their beautiful courtyard, which will fit 275 people. This is an excellent option for those looking to include the greens of nature in their ceremony.
If you have a smaller crowd, you can have the ceremony in the Stables (built in 1928), which is great for a smaller, more intimate ceremony.
Regardless of where you decide to get married at Hammond-Preston, their staff can help make your wedding day perfect.
There’s even a cozy cottage you can stay at for the first night of your honeymoon, and you can take advantage of their pub for nice flair your guests will never forget.
This wonderful venue allows you to use the inside or outside areas of their facilities. They have a beautiful barn, and tons of greenery, which makes the perfect background for pictures!
They have a pond with a lot of room for your guests to mingle or play corn hole, and you can use their Trophy Room for a nice reception space or even for the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. There is also in-house catering services available.
The venue can fit up to 300 guests and has tons of options to make your day perfect!
FYI – we had had friends have a reception here and it was one of the most unique, fun spaces!
Downtown Artsy Wedding Venue
Are you an art lover? Do you like beautiful, exposed brick? The Arts Center is filled with works from local artists, and it can really add a special pop to your ceremony.
The Arts Center has multiple small rooms that you can use to host dancing, food tables, seating for guests, and more!
The Anderson Arts Center is right in the middle of downtown and has four different packages you can choose from. With their small package, “the Marital Bliss,” you’ll get everything you need to have a beautiful wedding surrounded by art in an intimate setting.
The Oaks Wedding Venue has just about anything you could want from an outdoor wedding venue! Beautiful scenery, giant trees, and a pond!
The Oaks is the perfect spot for a fall or spring wedding (summer in the South get’s a little toasty!)
Here is a list of some of the impressive awards The Oaks has received, and there is a reason why!

Anderson, SC Open-air Wedding Venue
If you love a nice, open outdoor wedding, then there are few options better than Wren Park. It’s a public park recently developed by the city.
During the summer, the city of Anderson has a ton of events here. They have music, movies, plays, and much more. In the winter, they even have an ice rink. When they aren’t playing movies or letting the community borrow the space to ice skate, you can also get married at Wren Park.
The park has terraced grass levels where your guests can sit (or you can have chairs brought in). If you want to make it more casual, you can have guests sit on blankets. It’s a nice intimate setting with space for a mid-sized wedding.
If you want to see some pictures of Wren Park, we’ve done PLENTY of sessions here (it’s so pretty, we can’t help but keep coming back!)
Downtown Anderson, SC Outdoor Wedding Venue
Not far from Wren Park is the Anderson Farmers Market. The open roof makes it great for those spring weddings. The big red doors are excellent for pictures after the ceremony, and it’s open enough to make it versatile for a lot of wedding sizes.
One thing that is great about the Farmer’s Market is its right downtown. Your guests can grab a bite beforehand, go for drinks after, or go and get you a present right before the ceremony.
Anderson, SC Rooftop Wedding Venue
This is one of our dream wedding locations. Whys that? Because the Loft of Lilia Day Spa overlooks downtown, Anderson. In fact, it’s right in the heart of Anderson and has views of all the iconic scenes of the downtown area.
This is more of an intimate setting than some of our other locations on this list, with room for under 100 guests, but if you’re looking for a view that will wow everyone, this is it.
Plus, you can get a spa treatment the day of your wedding. Now we have your attention, don’t we?
We hope you were able to find the perfect venue from our list! We spent a lot of time putting this together. Why did we do it? Because we love our couples. We want to make the process as simple and special as possible. We know how difficult it can be to find the perfect venue.
