Rustic, Downtown Greenville Wedding

Aurezu and Steven are such a special couple! We met them both during our sophomore year at Anderson University. I first met Aurezu when we were both summer orientation leaders in college. She had so much spunk and was a wonderful leader.

I totally looked up to her because she loved on and welcomed incoming students SO well!

Mitchel and I were somewhat involved in a campus ministry called Journey Team that same year in college, so were Seven and Aurezu.

One of my favorite memories of Journey Team was going to a weekend camp and ministering to kids while their parents were off at the camp getting some adult time. It was a really neat experience and it was my first time meeting Steven.

I remember thinking that he was also so nice and I know Mitchel enjoyed getting to know him.

Old Cigar Warehouse Wedding, Greenville SC

Steven and Aurezu were married at the Old Cigar Warehouse in Downtown Greenville. Their rustic wedding was just perfect and was filled with sweet details and close family and friends. It was a very chilly morning of 17 degrees but the sun was shining and the day was absolutely gorgeous! It warmed up a but for their 1:00 ceremony.

One of my favorite parts of their ceremony was that they included parts of Aurezu’s Iranian and Steven’s Romanian heritage.

They included a Persian wedding table with special items of significance including Steven’s grandfather’s Bible, an Iranian sugar ceremony and a Romanian sweet bread ceremony, which are both symbolic of the married women spreading “sweetness” over their marriage.

Steven and Aurezu’s interactions with each other during the day were filled with so much love. I especially loved getting to watch Steven and Aurezu be so intentional with their guests at the reception. They spent most of the afternoon walking around having conversations with their guests and thanking them for coming to their wedding.

That’s one of my favorite things about them, their love and care for people. When we photographed them for their engagement session at Twin Falls, I remember Aurezu talking about her hopes for their wedding day. She wanted their closest friends and their family and wanted it to reflect their relationship well.

Steven and Aurezu, we wish you the best in your marriage and know that you both will be a reflection to others of God’s love and compassion for His people.

We can’t wait to see all that He does in your marriage! We are so happy for you guys! Enjoy some of my favorite photos from your gorgeous wedding day, and thank you again for allowing us to join you on your special day!
