FOR BRIDES | Wedding Day Details

I wanted to do a short series of posts called “For Brides” to help people during the wedding planning process. During the planning of your wedding, I’m sure you will have questions and want some advice. I have been there and I know it can be the most exciting season of your life, as well as the most overwhelming! Enjoy and feel free to ask me questions. 🙂
Other Posts from the “For Brides” series:

  1.  First Look vs. Traditional Aisle Reveal
  2.  Should you hire a videographer?
  3.  Should you hire a wedding planner?
  4.  For Grooms: How I proposed
  5.  Who to invite to your wedding
  6.  What to wear for your engagement session
  7.  Should you invest in bridal portraits

I’m a sucker for details. And bridal shoes. Details can say so much about a bride and her style.

Wedding day details can capture so much more than we realize, if we only stop to take note of them! Details are what helps your wedding to stand out and have a personality of its own. Plus, I know that you have spent so much time finding all of the perfect items and probably lots of time on Pinterest figuring out what you wanted.

From earrings and necklaces, to shoes, bracelets, pretty perfume bottles, garters, and broaches to be pinned on your bouquet, these are what help you show your personality. You can never have too many special and unique touches.

We also really love grabbing an extra copy of your wedding invitation suite, save the date, and your printed wedding program. These elements help us tie together all of your details when photographing them, so that we can create a cohesive theme with all of your details, no matter the color or size of them.

Bride’s Details

For those who are a bride-to-be, here are some suggestions of what you should bring and have together on the wedding day to be photographed.

  • Dress, veil
  • Rings (engagement ring, his/her bands)
  • Paper/Stationery Items: Wedding Invitations, Save the Date, Program
  • Bouquet
  • Shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Perfume bottle
  • Left over pieces from floral arrangements – and the bouquets themselves, too!

Groom’s Details

You can’t leave out the groom’s details, too! Make sure his items all together in one place too. Items such as:

  • Bowtie or tie
  • Cuff links
  • Watch
  • Special socks
  • Shoes
  • Boutonnière
  • Specialty whiskey

Reason’s to have your wedding day detail items photographed:

  1. You want to remember all of the special things you wore or carried
  2. Your wedding album color scheme and style will be set by the details that are photographed.
  3. If you aren’t a keepsake person or scrapbooker, having the paper goods photographed will ensure that you’ll remember them even if you don’t want to keep the physical item forever.
