An Intimate Hartwell, GA Wedding | Mr. & Mrs. Wilhite

Hartwell, GA Elegant Backyard Wedding

Katelyn and Lukas have been through a whirlwind the past few weeks. While so many people have been affected in a myriad of ways by COVID-19, my heart goes out to all the couples whose wedding day was turned upside down.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Wilhite are MARRIED! But that did not happen without several hurdles. They went through so many changes, very last minute. Just to name a few, due to government mandates, they had 2 venue changes, a caterer changed who was unavailable, a coordinator was not available for their wedding, and wedding party members had to back out due to the virus.

Hartwell, GA Wedding

We admire Katelyn and Lukas and their desire to just be married! And they did just that on March 28th alongside their closest family members at Katelyn’s parents home in Hartwell, GA.

Luckily, it was an absolutely beautiful day and was such a sweet time! Not only was the weather nearly perfect, a warm 80 degree day, which is kind of unusual for March, but the Brown’s home is so beautiful, that it actually looked like a wedding venue! It was so kind for their 2nd venue option, Southern Willow, to allow them to borrow chairs and the wooden cross for their ceremony.

Lukas and Katelyn opted not to see each other before the ceremony, but Katelyn actually did a first look with her brothers, that was so sweet! Katelyn and her siblings are very close and honestly just the sweetest siblings I have ever seen! Katelyn’s dad saw her for the first time when she walked out of the front door to walk down the aisle. It was a sweet moment!

Both families were incredibly sweet, we even got to eat a very intimate family dinner with them at the end of the night! Katelyn’s dad made a low-country boil. So sweet and tasty!

Lukas and Katelyn were both calm and happy the entire day, which I think is pretty normal for both of them. They are such a fun-loving and easy-going couple, which we learned in October at their engagement session.

It has been an absolute privilege to be a part of Katelyn and Lukas’ engagement journey and their wedding day!

Lukas and Katelyn, thank you for allowing us to be your photographers. We are so excited for your guys to finally be married! Much love to you both!
