Magan Smith and Will Johnston were married at Tin Roof Farms in Saluda, SC on September 23.
They have been together for over 5 years and we loved hearing all day long how wonderful they are together, and also how sweet Magan is with Will’s daughter Callie. It was such a sweet day celebrating Will and Magan’s love, but Magan also made sure to make it clear that this was also Callie’s day, too and that Magan is so happy to officially be Callie’s bonus mom. Magan’s love for Callie is so abundant and sweet.
Tin Roof Farms is one of my new faves! This was my first time out at the venue. It’s a newer venue with so much to offer. The main venue is an upscale barn look with white and wood accents, beautiful chandeliers, and a beautiful and spacious bridal suite loft.
The groom has his own awesome space, too. A whole house for him and the groomsmen, just a short walk or golf cart ride from the main venue, complete with a screened in porch and a pond.
A really fabulous option for the ceremony spot is the most precious little chapel, just down from the venue with a tree lined pathway leading you down to the chapel. Magan and Will’s ceremony was outdoors, right in front of the chapel, which was an amazing backdrop. Some couples choose to do their ceremony inside the chapel, which I’m sure is beautiful too!
There are endless portrait opportunities around the farm, which is every photographers dream. Truly an amazing place to get married and we highly recommend!
The wedding day was just the most gorgeous Fall Friday. It was sunny and just the right amount of warm. When the sun went down, it was just a tad chilly. Truly the perfect early-Fall day in my book.
Will and Magan were both calm and collected on their wedding day. Each of them got ready with their wedding party by their side – Magan in the bridal suite loft at the venue, and Will at the groom’s house across the way from the main venue.
They shared an intimate and sweet first look, read tear-inducing letters to each other that they wrote, gave each other sweet gifts, and got to spend a few minutes together before their big day officially began. When they were reading their letters to each other, that was the most relaxed and at ease I think they had been then whole day. They let their guard down and just took a few minutes to be with their favorite person on the planet. I can say for sure, this was my favorite part of their day.
We also took time for some wedding party photos and then it was off to their ceremony down by the chapel. It was a beautiful spot with even more beautiful moments. During the ceremony, Magan pulled their daughter Callie over to stand with them and read her a letter that she wrote promising to love her, be her forever friend, and the best bonus mom to her. There was not a dry eye to be found during that letter reading.
After the ceremony we took a few more photos with family, then Will and Magan made their grand entrances into the reception. They had yummy bbq with all the sides, cupcakes, speeches, and of course dances with Will & Magan and their parents.
Will and Magan, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your day. You are clearly meant to be and are the sweetest little trio with sweet Callie.
