Mr. & Mrs. Kees | Arran Farm Fall Wedding

Dusty Blue and Peach Fall Wedding

Kayla and Jacob were married at Arran Farm in Easley, SC. Kayla has gone to some craft fairs with her mom that the Farm hosted in the past, so it was a sentimental spot for her and how she first came to find out about the venue. The Farm has just recently begun to bring back their live events after being halted for a few years with the pandemic, which is so exciting!

I first met Kayla years ago when we were classmates and friends in Anderson University’s graphic design program. We had many a group projects together and were good friends throughout our time in school. She is a faithful and fun friend and I’m so thankful for her during our college years and beyond.

Kayla and Jacob are the best pair! Jacob’s love for Kayla is written all over his face and in the sweet and gentle way he speaks to her. Kayla is the happiest I’ve ever seen her, for sure. Her love for Jacob is so big! The two of them and their dog Lyra make the sweetest trio.

Jacob reached out to me a few weeks before he planned to propose to Kayla in January of 2022. I was absolutely thrilled to get to photograph their proposal and then Kayla asked me to photograph their engagement session, her bridals, and their wedding day! It was such a joy to be involved in so many of their wedding memories.

The Wedding Day

The wedding day was the most perfect early Fall day, not too hot, not and a tad bit chilly in the evening, perfect for the fire pit and s’mores just outside the main venue.

On the wedding day, Kayla was her normal bubbly self. She was calm and collected. Jacob was also so calm and ready for the day to finally see his bride.

Kayla and her girls got ready in the bridal suite above the barn and the guys hung out in the groom’s room. Kayla and her dad shared a first look and then Jacob and Kayla shared a first look, their vows, and gifts with one another.

The ceremony was performed by Kayla’s good friend Allison, who was also a bridesmaid. Double duty, and she did amazingly, making their ceremony so personable and fun.

We took some portraits after the ceremony and then it was time for their party!

The Reception

Kayla had her had in every single detail, planning everything in such thorough detail. I am amazed at how carefully and wonderfully she planned and had a hand in executing all of the details of their wedding day. The soft blues, peach/pale pinks and the most beautifully colored flowers were absolutely gorgeous.

The Reception decor was so lovely, filled with florals from Electric City Blooms and the most beautiful vintage plates and goblets from Something Borrowed Tablescapes. Those were my very favorite elements from the decor of the day!

To the couple…

Kayla and Jacob- thank you so much for allowing us to be involved in your season of engagement and your wedding day. We think the world of you guys and are inspired to see the way you love one another. We are rooting you on, always!
