Mr. & Mrs. Magee | A Westminster, SC Wedding

The Ridge at Summit Farms Wedding

Erica Foster and Russell Magee were married in Seneca, SC on Erica’s dad’s land where she grew up, Foster Farms. They were married in a beautiful wheat field with a Mountain View in the background. It was absolutely lovely!

We also took their engagement photos in this field back in December of last year, and it was just as beautiful then, too!

Their reception was at The Ridge at Summit Farms in Westminster, SC just a few minutes away.

The Wedding Day

On the wedding day, it was a super hot Summer day, but that did not stop the couple from having the most perfect wedding day!

They were both calm and easy going when we arrived. Even when Russell got the call that their officiant couldn’t make it to the wedding, last minute, he handled it and kept his cool while finding a new officiant just a few hours before the ceremony.

Erica and her sisters and mom got their hair and makeup done in the beautiful bridal suite upstairs at The Ridge. I am in love with that space! It’s a huge getting ready space which is any bride’s dream. Hannah from Cotton Rouge and Co did hair and makeup and was absolutely amazing. So talented!

Russell and their daughter Leighton had a sweet little first look with her in her flower girl dress. Then Russell and Erica shared a first touch where they held hands and talked without seeing each other. That seemed to ease both of their nerves as they were laughing and chatting! Then, Erica did a first look with her daddy, which was a super sweet moment. He was just a puddle after seeing her and it was so precious.

Seneca, SC Wheatfield Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was sentimental and just gorgeous in the Foster’s wheat field with their closest family members present and Erica and Russell’s little girl Leighton as the flower girl. She is SO precious and was an absolute angel all day long!

A live painter, Sarah Jane Ballentine, painted as the ceremony went on. She is amazingly talented!

At the reception space, Erica’s wedding vision of navy and golds were perfectly done! So beautiful and every little detail was thought of. From the florals to the table linens, to the chairs, everything was so classy.

Honoring Erica’s Grandmother

One of my favorite details from the reception was that Erica made an entire table of homemade pound cakes for her guests, with a recipe passed down from her late grandmother. I was amazed at her talent, and oh my gah did they taste good!! Her grandmother would have been so proud. Erica also had a reminder of her grandmother tied onto her bouquet. A sweet charm with her grandmother’s picture, fingerprint, a piece of fabric from one of her shirts, and a handwritten note engraved on the charm. I loved all the ways Erica honored her on her wedding day.

Erica and Russell we wish you all the best in your marriage! We loved being your photographers! Y’all are so fun!
