Mr. & Mrs. Thorne | AC Hotel Downtown Greenville Wedding

Elegant Dusty Pink Fall Wedding

Alex and Nick were married on October 7th with their ceremony at Prince of Peace Catholic Church and reception at the AC Hotel Reedy Ballroom right in the heart of downtown Greenville. It was a beautiful day all around and they looked so happy together!

I got to meet them a few weeks earlier for their engagement session at Sassafras Mountain. I can’t wait to share those photos on the blog soon, because it was such a beautiful location and I loved officially meeting Alex and Nick that day.

The Wedding Day

Alex and Nick are so sweet. Alex looked so happy on the wedding day and Nick was so sweet and adoring. He loves her so much and it’s so obvious!

Alex and Nick had the prettiest weather for their wedding day. It truly felt like Fall and was the perfect day.

On the morning of the wedding, Alex got ready with her girls in a beautiful suite at the AC Hotel. She had a sweet morning with them, and then we walked over across the street to Falls Park and the area near Wyche Pavilion beside the Reedy River.

Alex had a moment where she started to feel a bit overwhelmed with how quickly the day was moving and the anxieties of the wedding day hit her at once. She and her planner, Callie, decided to move her first touch with Nick up sooner. After touching Nick’s hand and talking with him, while not seeing one another, Alex’s anxieties seemed to melt away. It was a sweet moment for them to check in with each other before finally seeing one another at their Wedding Ceremony Mass later on.

We all traveled to the church and their wedding Mass took place. Prince of Peace is such a beautiful church and the way the light pours in from all the windows is just my favorite.

After their Mass, they had the most fun streamer-wand exit from the church doors. I just loved this idea and how these photos turned out. It was so fun to watch how excited the guests were to cheer for the bride and groom as they ran through the tunnel of streamers.

We took some family portraits and then made our way back downtown where we took wedding party portraits just inside Falls Park, and then some sweet photos of Alex and Nick together.

Nick and Alex decided to have an extended cocktail hour so that they could have a few moments to themselves and Alex had her hair and makeup artist from Cotton Rouge come do a touch-up for her before their big party began. They had a “reception reveal” where they saw their reception design and decor alongside their planner Callie. It was so fun for them, especially Alex, to see all of the planning come to life! It was completely stunning!

The day was lovely with the most beautiful & elegant Barbie inspired color scheme. Lots of light pinks and golds and Alex’s dress truly made her look like a real life Barbie. She was just beautiful! It was the most perfectly-pink event I’ve ever seen!

Special note to the couple:
