Our Top 5 Favorite Wedding Favors

collage of wedding favors

When your guests come to your wedding, you love for them to share in the moment with you and watch as you start this new stage of your life. You hope it’s a day that lives in their memory forever.

While they aren’t required, a lot of couples have fun little wedding favors for all of your guests to take home. Something that can help them look back on this day. When picking a wedding favor, you want something that reflects your personality, is in your budget, and is something your guests will actually enjoy (not something that’s going to ride around in the back seat of their car for the next 14 months).

Of course, there are TONS of options. Just Google wedding favors, and you’ll end up with about a thousand different choices on Etsy alone. To help you along that complicated process, we wanted to share some of the favorites that we’ve seen.

Koozies

Giving koozies as a wedding favor isn’t a new idea, but it’s one that everyone loves (it’s what we did at our wedding). If you’ve been to a wedding in the past couple of years, I’m sure you’ve gotten a koozie as a gift.

Everyone probably uses a koozie, plus they don’t take up much room in a pantry or in a drawer. It’s an excellent way to show your guests that you love them and for them to always have a memento from your wedding day

As an extra benefit to you, they are pretty cheap for a gift! You don’t want to break your bank while your buying favors.

Plant Seeds

This is one of the more unique favors we’ve seen. This one is not only memorable but also very meaningful.

You can pick out your favorite type of flower and then have seeds put into packs. There are plenty of companies that will save you the time and put your names and wedding date on the packet.

Because it’s simply seeded in a packet, it’s also something you can do yourself and save some time. Buy a large package of your favorite seeds, and some small key envelops, then you can letter each packet yourself — don’t forget to include your cute little saying on the front, “Thanks for watching our relationship bloom.”

S’mores To Go

This is one of the cutest and tastiest favors we’ve seen in a long time, plus it’s very simple. This one is especially clever if you’re getting married in the fall and there will be kids. We’ve seen some couples actually have a campfire at their reception for people to use their gifts.

Just like with the seeds, you just need some small brown bags. Include your name, wedding date, and your cute little phrase.

Just like with the koozies, s’ mores to go is a very affordable option for you (plus you get to eat any leftovers after you’re done packing).

Bottle Opener

This one is a little out of the box (or bottle). What’s so cool about giving bottle openers is all of your different options! There are SO many cute options! We’ve seen smaller monogrammed bottle openers, we’ve seen bottle openers that look like keys, and we’ve seen some that look like brides or grooms.

Some of our favorite bottle openers were ones that looked like antique keys. It was a classy look that was also functional. We grabbed one and still use it.

Coasters

Now, having coasters is going to be a tad bit more expensive than the other options, but it’s also one of the most used. We’ve been to a lot of homes and seen parents, friends, and the bridal party still using coasters from a wedding years after

Another benefit of having coasters as favors is you can customize them to exactly what you want. You can choose the color, the material, the text on them. Whatever you want, you can have.

Should You Have Wedding Favors?

Obviously, wedding favors aren’t a make or break for a wedding. Your guests aren’t at your wedding to walk away with a gift, but it’s one of the easiest ways to say “thank you” to everyone who attended.

Try and find something YOU would like to have as a favor and make sure it’s in your budget.
