Furman & Poinsett Club Wedding | Mr. & Mrs. Welling

Eleanor & Steven’s September Wedding in Greenville

September 12, 2026, was a beautiful day to celebrate Eleanor Dunbar and Steven Welling as they became husband and wife. From an intimate ceremony at Furman University’s Daniel Chapel to a joyful evening at The Poinsett Club, their wedding day was filled with meaningful moments, beautiful details, and the people they love most.

Eleanor began the day getting ready alongside her mom, making those quiet moments together especially meaningful. The sweetness of those moments set the tone for the rest of the day.

An Intimate Ceremony at Daniel Chapel

The ceremony at Daniel Chapel was intimate and heartfelt, with Eleanor and Steven choosing to keep things simple and centered on the two of them. Rather than having a traditional wedding party standing beside them, the focus remained exactly where it belonged — on their commitment to one another.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Eleanor and Steven exchanged vows in the beautiful chapel, beginning this next chapter of their lives together.

There was something incredibly special about the intimacy of their ceremony. Without a large wedding party, every glance, smile, and emotion between the two of them felt even more noticeable. It was quiet, meaningful, and completely theirs.

A Little Rain Didn’t Stop the Magic

The weather throughout the day kept everyone guessing, with moments of rain coming and going. But thankfully, the rain gave us the perfect window after the ceremony to make one of Eleanor’s wishes come true: portraits in Furman’s iconic rose garden.

And it was absolutely worth the wait.

With the beautiful gardens surrounding them, Eleanor and Steven were able to slow down for a few moments and simply enjoy being newlyweds. The rose garden provided the most gorgeous backdrop for their portraits, and the soft, romantic setting felt like the perfect reflection of their day.

Sometimes wedding days don’t go exactly according to plan, but those unexpected moments often become part of what makes them memorable. Thankfully, the rain held off when it mattered most, giving us the opportunity to capture these beautiful portraits just as Eleanor had hoped.

A Joyful Evening at The Poinsett Club

After the ceremony and portraits, the celebration continued at The Poinsett Club in downtown Greenville. The evening was filled with family, dear friends, plenty of laughter, and a whole lot of dancing.

The reception had all the elements of a perfect celebration. Guests gathered together to toast Eleanor and Steven, stories were shared, champagne flowed, and the dance floor quickly became the place to be.

In the middle of all the party and dancing, we stole Eleanor and Steven away for a few quiet minutes to take some portraits inside one of the most beautiful rooms at The Poinsett Club. Stepping away from the celebration gave them a chance to pause, take a breath, and simply enjoy being together as husband and wife. Surrounded by the elegant details of the room, we captured a few of those romantic, just-married moments before sending them back to the dance floor.

One of the evening’s standout details was the champagne tower — a beautiful and festive addition to the celebration and the perfect way to toast the newlyweds. And then there was the cake. Absolutely beautiful and perfectly suited to the elegant atmosphere of the day, it was one of those details that was almost too pretty to eat.

But ultimately, the beauty of Eleanor and Steven’s wedding wasn’t just in the chapel, the rose garden, the champagne tower, or the cake. It was in the people gathered around them. It was in the emotion of their intimate ceremony. It was in the laughter on the dance floor and the joy of celebrating with the people who have loved them throughout their lives.

Eleanor and Steven’s wedding day was elegant, intimate, joyful, and completely personal — a beautiful beginning to their life together.

Congratulations, Eleanor and Steven! It was such an honor to document your September wedding and all of the beautiful moments that made it uniquely yours.
