2016 was a year of growth for me. Professionally, in my photography, in our marriage, and spiritually. But this post will just focus on the photography. I was behind the camera this past year more than ever before. I think I became passionate about photography enough to actually begin to immerse myself in it and begin to execute images and hone in on the light, airy style that I love. I feel more comfortable with my images and around the people I am photographing. I booked 19 different photo sessions/weddings from March-December, 3 big freelance design projects, all while working a 40+ hour job.

Earlier this year, I was feeling discouraged about trying to manage and handle this side business well. I prayed that if the Lord wanted me to pursue this, that He would confirm it to me. I went from no shoots booked during the month of August, to having 11 during September-December. I didn’t advertise that I was taking any freelance design work, but 3 big branding/design projects came my way. I would say that was confirmation! So here I am, taking this thing on and loving and serving my clients to the best of my ability. I am thankful for the opportunity to pursue something I love, while meeting some wonderful people!
