Travel-themed Baby Announcement Session

Everyone knows the excitement that comes with a new baby! I can’t believe that Kyle and Ashley held out telling their parents until they were able to do this session! I am just the worst at secrets, so I can’t imagine how hard it must be to keep such an exciting secret like this!

Ashley contacted me a few weeks before she and her husband Kyle were coming to town to visit family. They came to stay at Lake Hartwell in Anderson with family for a few weeks for vacation, all the way from Texas! So fun!

I love the lake and I absolutely loved Ashley’s idea to do a travel-themed pregnancy announcement session! What a cute way to tell all their family and friends that they are expecting a little one! They enjoy traveling and even went to Australia on their honeymoon a few years ago!

Once Ashley and I chatted about her vision for their shoot, I had it in my head and I was so excited! My sweet friend Sam had a vintage suitcase that she let us borrow. (Thanks, Sam!) I had a little globe sitting on our mantle that I thought would be perfect, too. I always love incorporating my letterboard in sessions when appropriate, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity!

Ashley and Kyle brought the ultrasound, their passports, and some super cute suitcases (you have to scroll down to check out the adorable baby suitcase, too!)
