Richland Hospital Columbia, SC Newborn Session

I just love the Vaughan family! They are so kind and fun! We went to church together for years and my family came to know and love them.

Shannon and Tim reached out to me about taking newborn photos for their 4th child, baby Gavin! I was so excited to do these photos because I ADORE taking in-hospital newborn photos, or Fresh 48 Sessions. Shannon delivered at Prisma Health Richland, or “Richmond Hospital” as I still think of it.

A Fresh 48 Session takes place within the first 48 hours of the baby’s life! These moments are so tender and sweet, and full of sleepy baby snuggles and smiles. Baby Gavin was about 14 hours old during his session.

Capturing baby’s first smiles, cuddles, yawns, and cuddles never gets old! I love capturing these moments in a natural way as the moments unfold. And one of my favorite parts of the session is getting to see the whole family interact with the new baby! The Vaughan kiddos were absolutely smitten over their new baby brother! They were adorable!
