Welcome to the blog. Here you're going to find everything from heart-warming marriage stories, to beautiful images of our clients. We want to invite you into our lives.
Brittany Pope and Caleb Pate were married on July 22 at a new venue, Junction 800, formerly Jillian’s Restaurant in the Vista. The building is any couples dream venue if they’re looking for a venue in the heart of downtown Columbia! The building has exposed brick all around and a beautiful bar as the centerpiece of the main room.
Caleb and Brittany have been together for 12 years, so their wedding day was a long time coming! Their day was a huge celebration with friends and family who have loved them as a couple for over a decade and now stood by them as they became Mr. & Mrs. Pate!
Even though the wedding day was my first time meeting Caleb, I felt like I had already known Brittany! She was a bridesmaid in a wedding we shot last year, Olivia and Brian! And I got to see them, and Olivia’s sister who was also a bridesmaid of Brittanys. It’s so fun for me to get to see previous couples at friends weddings!
While we didn’t get to do an engagement session prior to the wedding due to Brittany’s crazy busy grad school schedule, me dealing with sickness on the weekend we were scheduled to meet, and then rainy weather on our next rescheduled date. We are planning to do a one year anniversary session next Summer, which will be so fun to catch up with Caleb and Brittany!
Caleb and Brittany are such a fun pair! They seem to perfectly compliment each other. Caleb seems to be the life of the party and a jokester. Brittany is more quiet, graceful, and so beautiful! I love how different the two of them are but their love for each other is so evident and sweet!
On the wedding day, it was sunny and warm, the perfect Summer wedding day!
Brittany and her girls got ready just a few minutes away from the venue at an AirBnb. Brittany did a reveal to her bridesmaids after her mom helped her into her dress. It was so sweet for them to see her dress for the first time and to see some of her girls get emotional!
Once the girls had their moment together, we all traveled to the venue where we then took portraits of the bridesmaids with Brittany, and then the groomsmen with Caleb.
Then it was time for the ceremony, which was at the end of the venue in an intimate setting with drapery separating the reception space. Beautiful flowers from Anna from Feather + Fern lined the backdrop. The ceremony was performed by Brittany’s grandfather.
We took lots of beautiful photos of family, then the wedding party (so fun!), and then a few of Caleb and Brittany together around the venue. We found the perfectly glowy lighting and Brittany’s beautiful cathedral length veil was the most beautiful addition to those portraits. It was her good friends veil that she borrowed and I thought that was such a sweet “something borrowed”.
Their reception was such a party! With the most yummy and adorable food stations from Southern Way Catering and lots of dancing to music by Partytime DJ, complete with a sparkler exit to end the night.
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Pate! It was an honor to share in your day! We wish you all the best in your life together!
