Mr. & Mrs. Williams | Heyward Manor Fall Wedding

Emerald Green Fall White Barn Wedding

Lauren Bowen and Jackson Williams were married at Heyward Manor, in Iva, SC on September 17. We always love getting to photograph weddings at Heyward and had been waiting for quite a while to get to photograph this one! I got to meet the two of them last Fall during their engagement session at the venue with their two precious dogs.

Lauren and her girls stayed the night after the rehearsal dinner at an AirBnb, where they had hair and makeup done on the morning of the wedding. They all looked beautiful! When Mitchel and I arrived, the girls were in the bridal suite (Heyward has the most beautiful bridal suite ever!) and the guys were hanging out downstairs.

I always find it hilarious that the girls have so much going on with hair and makeup, and generally, the guys are playing cards in their jeans and t-shirts before getting ready. Such a vast difference that always makes me giggle.

Lauren was an absolute STUNNER in her dress from Elegant Bridals! I was just obsessed with her detachable sleeves with wings. Wow, so so beautiful! But also practical of course, and removable for dancing at the reception.

Wedding Day Events

Lauren and her dad shared a first look so that she could reveal her dress to him, which was super sweet. She gifted him a special tie she had made for him with a picture of them together when she was a young girl. It was adorable! Then Lauren’s mom brought Lauren’s brother out for a first look with him, which they both weren’t expecting and of course, it brought them both to tears. Lauren and her brother are super close, so that was a sweet moment, too!

After that, Lauren and Jackson shared a first touch, where they didn’t see each other but did get the chance to read letters they had written each other. They were both brought to tears by each others vows and Lauren said that Jackson’s words were extra special because he is not typically so sentimental. She was in awe of his words to her.

Their ceremony was on the patio just outside the venue, overlooking the pond. It was such a beautiful day, with the sun shining and blue skies. Lauren and Jackson looked fabulous together in front of the most beautiful cross with the most perfect florals by Flowers by Emily Ann.

Their reception was such a fun time! With dinner from Sullivan’s, which is always amazing, cake by a family friend, and music and dancing by their dj Premiere Party Entertainment.

This was our first time working with McKee Events and Williams Media Videography. We had a blast with them both! Wonderful vendors truly make the day an even better experience, and these guys did just that!
