Mr. & Mrs. Van Grouw were married at Colbert First Baptist Church. They had a lovely reception at the beautiful Vintage Oaks Reception Venue!
The groom’s sweet sister was kind enough to introduced them about a year ago, and the rest is history!
The sweet bride and groom are so cute together! Leading up to the ceremony, the bride, her sisters, her bridesmaid, and mom all got ready together. They all had the biggest smiles and just enjoyed the moments leading up to the ceremony! We loved getting to be there to capture all of the sweet moments between them as the girls helped the bride into her dress and add finishing touches, like her beautiful veil.
The guys also were very relaxed and the groom-to-be was eager and excited to get to the ceremony.
The ceremony was beautiful and in the sanctuary of Colbert First Baptist. They had a huge turnout of family and friends, which really shows how loved this couple is! Several family members of the groom even traveled from Pennsylvania to be there. Even in the midst of COVID, everyone made a point to make sure that the sweet couple got married and felt celebrated. I’d say that they definitely felt celebrated at the end of the day.
After the beautiful ceremony, which was full of singing and worship, everyone headed over to Vintage Oaks, which is in Watkinsville, just outside of Athens, GA.
Vintage Oaks is a gorgeous barn setting on plenty of beautiful acreage and land! The inside of the building is your traditional barn setting, but the outside if so unique! It’s a classy-rustic look complete with white exterior, wooden shutters and barn doors, and chandeliers lining the sidewalk to the front door.
There were special details at the reception tables from the bride’s grandma. Different pieces of fabric and lace underneath the flower arrangements. I love little touches like that. The reception was a sweet and relaxed time, with a wonderful dinner and of course a cake cutting and bouquet toss. We got to step outside with the couple for a few photos as the sun was setting, which is always so much fun!
They had a cute little bubble exit before they headed off for the night. The couple headed to their honeymoon in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone area. I love their adventurous spirits!
Mr. & Mrs. Van Grouw, we are thrilled for you as you begin this new journey! All of our love and best wishes to you both!
