Nestled in the gated Cliffs community on top of Glassy Mountain, this stunning A-frame glass chapel sits on an open ridgeline at 3,000 feet elevation, offering panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains stretching into North Carolina. It is intimate, it is dramatic, and it photographs unlike anywhere else in South Carolina.

The Cliffs at Glassy Mountain Chapel is one of the most stunning and unique wedding venues in all of South Carolina — and Katie Jaynes Photography is privileged to photograph elopements and intimate weddings there regularly. Located in the gated Cliffs community in Travelers Rest, just 30 minutes from downtown Greenville, the glass A-frame chapel sits at 3,000 feet elevation on an open ridgeline with 180-degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The chapel is particularly beloved by elopement couples who want something intimate, meaningful, and utterly spectacular. It accommodates small gatherings and elopements beautifully, making it one of the premier elopement venues in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina.
The light at Glassy Mountain is extraordinary. The glass walls of the chapel allow natural light to flood the ceremony space from every direction. Outside on the ridgeline, the elevation means clear mountain light, dramatic sky, and views that stretch for miles. In fall, the surrounding forest ignites with color. In winter, mountain mist and bare trees create a moody, romantic atmosphere. In spring and summer, lush green mountain panoramas make every portrait feel like a painting.
