Built at the turn of the 20th century, The River Road House and The Jasmine House are two beautifully restored sister venues sitting side by side in Irmo, just outside Columbia. Together they offer an unmatched combination of stately architecture, lush garden settings, and the kind of warm, personal service that only a family-owned venue can provide — nearly 30 years in business and still going strong.

Katie Jaynes Photography has had the privilege of photographing weddings here and genuinely considers it one of their favorite venues in South Carolina.
The River Road and Jasmine Houses have been in business for nearly 30 years, offering all-inclusive wedding packages with a day-of coordinator, support staff, catering, and wedding cakes all available in-house. The venue can accommodate up to 100 guests for a fully seated reception, and up to 200 guests for a cocktail-style celebration.

The venue offers several distinct portrait locations: the Garden Courtyard with its brick patio and fountain, the jasmine-covered arbor in the Jasmine Garden, the grand River Road House with its wraparound porch and light-filled rooms, and the sweeping Magnolia Lawn lined with mature trees. Every corner offers something different — which means your gallery will feel full, rich, and layered rather than repetitive.
The River Road House itself features gorgeous natural light from large windows and soaring ceilings, making getting-ready photos and bridal portraits particularly stunning. The antique furnishings and hardwood floors add warmth and character to every frame.
