Spartanburg SC Barn Wedding

Madeline and Reed were married May 6 at the Barn at Balken Farms in Chesnee, SC. They are from Gaffney where they both went to high school and first met.

I first met them when we did their engagement photos last Fall at a cute little place in Spartanburg, Glendale Shoals. It is so cute and perfect for photos, with a big bridge, waterfall, pretty rocks, and lots of greenery around. I got to meet their precious son Krew and Madeline’s beloved Nana who I had heard so much about. It was so fun getting to know them that evening while taking their photos and walking all around the park.

Krew stole the show in some of those photos. It was the perfect evening for their session and I’m still in love with how those photos turned out.

Madeline & Reed’s Wedding Day

Madeline and Reed are such a fun couple and have the best group of friends! On the wedding day, their wedding party was so much fun and were excited to celebrate them! It was the perfect Spring day with no rain, even though there was tons in the forecast that week!

Madeline and Reed opted to share gifts before the ceremony, but not do a first look. Reed bought Madeline pearl earrings because he said they’re naturally beautiful and don’t take extra work to prove their beauty, which is exactly how he feels about Madeline. So sweet! Madeline gifted Reed a nice watch that made his groomsmen “Oooo and ahhh” when he opened it.

Their ceremony was performed by a close family friend who has known Madeline for many years. It was sweet to hear a personable and heartfelt ceremony.

After the ceremony, we took lots of family photos, wedding party, and some of just Reed and Madeline. I loved so many of Madeline’s ideas from Tik Tok, especially her idea for a unique bridal party photo, where they walked around surrounding the couple (see below!).

They partied the night away on the dance floor with their best friends and looked like they had an absolute blast! As wedding photographers, we LOVE when couples are having fun with friends and family.
