Mr. & Mrs. Rachkovskiy | Fairplay, SC Backyard Fairytale Wedding

Fairplay, SC Summer Outdoor Wedding

About The Couple

Becca and Max were married May 7 in Fairplay, SC. They were married on Max’s parents land, where Max also proposed to Becca, near their pond with beautiful views. Their ceremony spot was on the other side of the pond in an inlet and their reception was just a few steps away in an elegant, clear-top tent. It is so sweet that this place holds so many memories for them.

Becca and Max met about a year ago when they were on a 9 month long mission trip called the World Race. They said they both knew when they met that they would eventually be married. They were adventurous in their relationship from the very start traveling the world together!

The Wedding Day

There was so much anticipation before Becca and Max saw each other for their first look. Becca got ready with her sisters and friends at the house where she and Max will be living. Then they came over to the wedding location for their first look.

Max was down by the pond and Becca came down the pathway with her friend (and hair and makeup wizard!) Moriah. Max wanted to hold hands back to back and pray together before seeing her, so they had a sweet moment together and then he got to turn around and see his bride! Such a sweet moment for them.

After their first look, we took a few portraits up on the hill by the pond. These two were just a vision! So beautiful together! Then we walked over to the other side of the property and Becca and Max took a quick break to pop in and enjoy their bounce house! Truly LOVED this fun and cute idea to add to their wedding reception! We then took portraits with their wedding party and then it was time for Becca to be hidden away before the ceremony began.

The ceremony was beautiful and overlooked the pond. Becca and Max had the sweetest vows and Becca prayed a beautiful prayer over them.

Their reception was SO much fun and included lots of Russian songs and desserts! Oh my, the desserts were so beautiful and tasty!

I really loved Max and Becca’s wedding reception entrance, one that I’ve never seen before! The dj played a song that Becca and Max had chosen, and the new Mr. & Mrs. made their way around to each table and briefly hugged and said hi to their guests. Such a sweet gesture and great way to make their guests feel appreciated. There were guests from all over! Russia, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and more! Becca and Max are so loved by many.

Becca’s dad mentioned during his speech at the reception that when he first met Max he thought that he was the most kind and gave him the biggest hug when they met. Everyone in their circle of friends and family seemed to feel that way about Max and Becca.

Fairytale Exit

Becca said she has dreamed of a fairytale wedding since she can remember. She said that she and Max are big Disney fans. Of course they had to have a reception exit for for a prince and princess, so their guests had floating lanterns they lit while Max and Becca rowed in a boat across the pond!

Becca and Max, I wish you all the best in your new life together! Marriage is SO fun, humbling, and the most sanctifying experience. You two are made for each other and I know the Lord will use your marriage for great things and for His glory!
