A Fall Grand Holland Estate Wedding Day

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, Katelyn Petty and Jake Rice said “I do” in an sweet and fun celebration at The Grand Holland Estate in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Katelyn and Jake’s love story is one of love, faith, trust, and a bond built on shared values and dreams. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple celebrated not just their wedding day but the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

The Wedding Morning

The day began with Katelyn and her bridesmaids enjoying a calm and joyful morning in the venue’s bridal suite. Katelyn looked breathtaking in her elegant gown, a true reflection of her graceful and timeless style. Meanwhile, Jake and his groomsmen prepared downstairs sharing much laughter, lots of football watching, and anticipation for the moment Jake would see his bride. The guys made their grand entrance into the venue wearing their favorite jerseys and in true baseball player fashion, some loud walkup music. Everyone heard them coming! Haha.

As the clock ticked closer to the ceremony, Katelyn and Jake chose to share a special moment—a first touch on The Grand Holland’s iconic staircase. Holding hands on either side of the intricately detailed banister, they exchanged heartfelt vows and prayed together, grounding themselves in faith before the official ceremony. It was a tender, emotional moment that set the tone for the rest of their day.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place indoors at the top of The Grand Holland Estate’s stunning staircase, a perfect and backdrop for Katelyn & Jake. Katelyn, escorted by her father, radiated joy and beauty as she came to the stairs to meet Jake. The pride on her father’s face and the love in Jake’s eyes were moments that will remain in everyone’s hearts.

The couple’s vows were a true testament to their love and commitment, blending humor, promises, and a deep spiritual connection. Their officiant led a moving service that celebrated the sanctity of marriage and the unique bond Katelyn and Jake share. When they were pronounced husband and wife, the room erupted with applause, and the couple’s happiness was undeniable.

The Reception

Following the ceremony, guests moved to The Grand Holland’s beautiful reception space. The décor was classic and sophisticated, with a palette of whites, soft greens, lilac & lavender, with lush florals that perfectly complemented the venue.

Before dinner, Katelyn’s mom welcomed everyone and shared stories from her childhood, celebrating the beautiful woman she’s become and how grateful they are that Katelyn and Jake found each other. 

After a delicious dinner, Katelyn and Jake cut their cake and then everyone moved back to the main venue to watch them share their first dance. Then came touching parent dances—Katelyn and her father, followed by Jake and his mother—moments that brought both smiles and happy tears.

As the evening progressed, the dance floor came alive. Guests of all ages celebrated alongside Katelyn and Jake, dancing the night away. 

A Magical Send-Off

As the night drew to a close, Katelyn and Jake shared a private last dance and then exited through a joyful tunnel of loved ones, with cold spark fountains and light wands lighting their path. Their smiles and laughter illuminated the night as they shared a kiss to close the night, with their guests cheering behind them.
