Aurora Farms Intimate Christmas Wedding

Carrie & Jay were married at the beautiful Aurora Farms venue in Taylors, SC on December 23. They were married during the week on a Wednesday, because Carrie’s parents and grandparents had also been married on December 23. It was so special that Carrie & Jay share their wedding date with Carrie’s family members!

Jay and Carrie had a sweet and intimate gathering with some of their closest family and friends. Carrie is from West Virginia so several of her family traveled a good way to be at their wedding.

Carrie and Jay met at work and the rest is history. They have been together for a little over 3 years.

I got to meet Carrie and Jay at their engagement photos a few weeks before their wedding. Jay is a big Clemson fan, so we decided to do some of their photos on and around campus.

Carrie & Jay’s Wedding Day at Aurora Farms

The wedding day was just as lovely as Carrie and Jay ever could have asked for! The weather was wonderful and the venue was an amazing setting for their beautiful ceremony and subtle Christmas-themed reception. The beautiful white walls made everything stand out beautifully, including the pretty gray bridesmaid dresses and little pops of orange.

Both Carrie and Jay seemed so calm on their big day. Leading up to the ceremony, each of them hung out with their wedding party separately, and then we took some photos of them with their families and wedding party.

The ceremony was performed by their pastor with the beautiful fireplace in the background and a floral cross to the side. After the ceremony, we had a fun time taking family portraits, wedding party pictures outside near the beautiful weeping willow tree, and then finished with lots of portraits of Carrie and Jay around the venue.

They had a lovely reception complete with an awesome dinner from Smoke on the Water, a hot chocolate/coffee bar, dancing, cake and fun with their guests.

Jay and Carrie opted for a fun snow-filled exit from their reception and it was the perfect wintery addition to their sweet wedding day.
