Currahee Club Summer Wedding | Mr. & Mrs. Whitfield

Jackson & Liz Whitfield | A Joyful Summer Wedding at Currahee Club

On June 7, 2025, Jackson and Liz Whitfield said “I do” surrounded by family, friends, and the breathtaking mountain and lake views at Currahee Club in Toccoa, Georgia. Their day was filled with joy, meaningful moments, and a whole lot of hot, Summer sunshine But despite the soaring temperatures, every moment felt special and deeply personal.

Liz spent a slow and peaceful morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in one of the suites at the club. Laughter echoed through the rooms as they did hair, makeup, and reminisced about the memories leading up to this day. Before the ceremony, Liz shared a sweet and emotional first look with both her dad and brother. So sweet!

The ceremony took place outdoors, with a stunning wooden cross adorned in white florals as the focal point. Guests faced a sweeping backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Lake Hartwell—an unforgettable view that made the setting feel straight out of a postcard. Though the sun blazed down, no one seemed to mind; the joy and love surrounding Jackson and Liz were unmistakable.

After the ceremony, guests made their way inside the lodge for the reception, while family members and wedding party finished up photos, with the stunning view! Guests made their way inside where everything was setup beautifully. After Liz and Jackson made their grand entrance with their wedding party, a wonderful dinner was just getting underway when a classic Southern summer thunderstorm rolled in. Loud, dramatic, and a little bit magical, it added an extra element of excitement to the evening. And right on cue, the skies cleared just in time for sunset portraits on the Green, with the fresh post-rain air and soft golden light creating a dreamy glow.

There was tons of dancing and fun after dinner, I don’t think there was a single guest who didn’t make an appearance on the dance floor at some point in the evening. It was a party!

As the evening came to a close, guests lined up for a fun and festive bubble exit. Jackson and Liz made their getaway in style—driving off in a family member’s vintage Land Rover, waving goodbye to their favorite people as they headed into newlywed life.

It was a day full of love, laughter, meaningful traditions, and beautiful scenery—truly the perfect kickoff to Summer and a beautiful beginning to Jackson and Liz’s next chapter together! We wish you guys all the best Mr. & Mrs. Whitfield!
