Anderson SC Christmas Tree Farm Engagement Session

Lauranne knew she wanted to do their engagement photos at a Christmas tree farm, so I contacted MayLan Tree Plantation in Pelzer. I’ve driven by it for years when we travel backroads from Anderson on our way to Columbia to visit my family. So for over 10 years, I’ve passed by it but have never had the chance to photograph a session there before.

We met at the tree farm on the Monday before Thanksgiving, so all of the trees had just been prepped and the farm was in pristine condition for photos! We explored the rows of Christmas trees and even walked all along the backside of the property where there were some massive trees growing in fields. It was everything Lauranne had dreamed of, and I have to say I really thought it looked pretty dreamy myself.

Their Wedding Day

Lauranne and Steve are getting married next December at Heyward Manor, one of our very favorite venues, in Iva. I can’t wait for their Winter wedding next year and know it will be beautiful!

Lauranne has been a bridesmaid in two weddings that I’ve photographed in the last year and a half. First, she was the maid of honor in her sister Olivia and brother in law Brian’s wedding, and then she and Olivia were bridesmaids in their friend Brittany’s wedding that I photographed this past July in Columbia. It has been so fun to see those 3 girls who were friends in college be in each others weddings and I know Lauranne’s big day will be just as sweet as Olivia and Brittany’s were!
