Taylor and Brandon celebrated their wedding day on May 29 at Heyward Manor in Iva, just outside of Anderson. Heyward Manor is every Southern girl’s dream for a wedding venue. Taylor loved it because it fit her and Brandon’s personalities perfectly. She loves glitzy and he is rustic and the venue is a perfect mix of those!
Brandon and Taylor first met several years ago in youth group. Taylor realized after years of knowing him that she liked him but it took a while for them to finally go on their first date and have now been together over 6 years.
We first met them at their engagement session last Summer and then I got to spend more time with Taylor and her mom for her bridal session in late March.
The wedding day was just perfect, sunny and gorgeous, but not too hot. Taylor was all smiles on the morning of her wedding day. She and her girls got ready in the beautiful bridal suite upstairs at the venue. Brandon was calm and collected and hung out with the guys downstairs in the groom’s suite.
They shared a precious first look in the garden area with beautiful scenery all around: trees, hydrangeas, string lights, and the pond in the distance. Then we took a few portraits of them and their wedding party before heading back inside to hide Taylor away before the ceremony.
Their ceremony was performed by Brandon’s brother in law and included other special pastors who are special to them as well. They shared communion in the most beautiful handmade ceramic cups, given to them as a wedding gift.
Taylor had a special chair reserved for her Daddy in heaven. She also had a little charm with a picture of her and him. I loved that she was able to include him in her day. Her sweet brother walked her down the aisle and danced with her at the reception in her daddy’s place, which was just precious.
Taylor and Brandon, thank you for including us in your day. We loved getting to know you, we wish you all the best and hope you’re having a blast on your honeymoon in Hawaii!
