Christmas Wedding at Heyward Manor Photography

Lauranne Lynch and Steven Wiles were married at Heyward Manor in Iva, SC on December 2, 2023. 

They first met when they were in nursing school. She would invite him to study and according to his groomsman in his wedding toast “conveniently, no one but him would show up to study”. They later started dating and Steven proposed to Lauranne a few years later on a Disney Cruise with Lauranne’s sister’s help planning and preparing to surprise Lauranne.

I first met Lauranne at her sister Olivia’s wedding in May of 2021, then again at their friend Brittany’s wedding in June of 2022. It was so sweet to be involved in each of their 3 weddings!

I met up with Steven and Lauranne for their engagement photos last year a few days before Thanksgiving. They wanted to do their photos at a Christmas tree farm, which I just loved! 

The Wedding Day at Heyward Manor

It was a warm and gloomy day, but thankfully it didn’t rain! It even cleared up nicely so that the weather was perfect for their first look and other photos outside before the ceremony began. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Lauranne and Steven compliment each other so well and as so many people mentioned on the wedding day, they truly are each others “person”. 

Lauranne and her girls spent the morning getting ready at a hotel in downtown Anderson and then came to the venue for finishing touches. Steven and his groomsmen hung out at the groom’s cottage and took their time getting ready and hanging out. 

Lauranne’s sister Olivia and their mom helped her get into her beautiful dress and then she did a reveal to her bridesmaids downstairs, right outside the steps to the bridal suite. Then Lauranne shared a sweet first look with her dad, and then she and Steven shared a first look. Once Lauranne saw Steven, it seemed like she was so at ease and happy. 

After their first look, we took photos of them together, and then some wedding party portraits. It was time for the ceremony shortly after we finished up portraits. They opted for a cozy, indoor ceremony and it was lovely with the perfect twinkly Christmas tree backdrop. 

After their ceremony we took family portraits and then a few portraits of just Lauranne and Steven together.

The Reception

Steven and Lauranne entered the building full of smiles. They shared a first dance with the most perfect Disney looking fog and snow that made for the best photos. Seeing Lauranne’s smile during this moment was so sweet!

The couple and their guests had a wonderful dinner from Sullivan’s, the most unique cake flavors, and then danced the night away before exiting with all their favorite people around them.
