NC Vineyard Wedding | Mr. & Mrs. Sagers

North Carolina, Morgan Ridge Vineyards Wedding

This wedding was just the perfect start to the Fall season! Grace and Matthew were married at Morgan Ridge Vineyards, just a few miles from Concord, NC in a little area called Gold Hill, NC. It was a gloomy day to begin with, but after their rehearsal dinner the night before got rained on, they were just glad for no rain on the wedding day! We were so thankful the sun came out just before the ceremony began.

Grace’s family lives in Charlotte and Matthew’s family in Ashrboro, so their venue was a great halfway point for each of their families, in a perfect and romantic vineyard. I just love that they picked a place that was not only beautiful, but convenient for both families. That says so much about how much they care for their people.

Both Grace and Matthew were calm and just so excited to be married. I asked each of them several times throughout the day how they were feeling, especially before their first look and then before the ceremony, and they both just said excited and ready!

Matthew and Grace truly bring out the best in each other. They are fun, happy, and as Grace’s maid of honor said their “truest selves” when they are together.

I remember seeing Grace as a super dedicated and smart nursing student a few years ago when she lived in Anderson and attended our church, and I just thought the world of her. Even though she was so so busy as a student, she was still so involved in serving and giving away her time at church.

When Grace moved back home after graduation, I was so sad, but also so hopeful for her that her future job and big move would serve her well. I am so happy that God brought her and Matthew together. They are such a light together and we saw so much joy on their faces on the wedding day.

Wedding Day Details and Flow of the Day

There were so many intentional moments during their wedding day for the couple to be present with each other and their families. Grace and her dad did a first look and then Grace and Matthew had their first look. Both of these times were so sweet, un-rushed, and gave them time to soak in the emotion of the day. We loved getting to be spectators and capture it all.

Because of their first look, we also had time before the ceremony to do their wedding party photos and the majority of their family pictures, which was so much fun! All of their family and friends had the chance to interact and enjoy being with the couple before the big events of the day began. That time together was so treasured.

Some of my favorite details of the day were all of the Fall colored wildflowers on the reception tables (styled by Grace, and put together by family), Grace’s beautiful bouquet, and the face that Grace did her own hair and makeup! I am just in awe of her talent and composure on her own wedding day to have her hand in so many of the details, and handling it with such grace (no pun intended), and SO well. Nothing was left undone or unthought of.

Grace and Matthew, we wish you all of the best and truly adore the way you love each other and those around you. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day!
