Travelers Rest Wedding | Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt

The Barn at Rose Springs Farm Wedding

Ben and Kristen were married on March 6, 2021 at The Venue at Rose Springs Farm in Travelers Rest. The venue is a cute and quaint new venue that has everything a couple would need for hosting their wedding day all in one spot.

With the beautiful barn overlooking the pond, and plenty of outdoor space for a beautiful ceremony and social distancing during the reception. The Gerhardt’s chose the perfect spot for their big day!

Kristen and Ben are such a fun couple. Kristen works in higher education and has such a gift with planning and coordinating, and her wedding was no exception. No detail was left undone and everything was so intentional and well done. I enjoyed hearing her plans and seeing her vision come to life as we talked and I heard her plans in the months leading up to their wedding day.

Even though I was on maternity leave for their wedding, I was able to pop in on the day of and loved getting to see everything in person! Mary Katherine and Mitchel, and Jeff captured everything beautifully!

The Wedding Day

Their wedding day was the perfect mild Winter day with lots of sunshine. Their venue was the perfect backdrop for their beautiful ceremony and reception.

On the wedding day, Ben was nervous leading up to the ceremony. When he read his letter from Kristen, he shed some tears, and we could tell that his nerves melted away a little and that he was ready to see his bride at the end of the aisle.

Kristen had fun with her girls the morning of the wedding getting ready, but when it came time to open her gift and read her letter from Ben before the ceremony, she also shed some tears. It was so evident that she was ready to marry her groom!

Their ceremony was sweet and had the backdrop of the pond and sunshine shining through with the beautifully decorated floral cross behind them.

After the ceremony, while we took portraits, Kristen had lined up a friend of theirs to have an informal dance lesson taking place inside the venue for guests to enjoy.

We LOVED this idea to not only have something for the guests to do during cocktail hour, but also something so helpful so that they could learn some line dances to show off during the party dancing time at the reception later that evening. So neat!

Kristen and Ben went and had a private moment to eat dinner together after portraits were done. I really love when couples take a few moments to do this on their wedding day, to really soak in being married before partying with their guests.

After dinner, dancing, and toasts, they had a beautiful sparkler exit.

Mr. & Dr. Gerhardt, we are so happy for you guys and loved being a part of your celebration!
