With a Thankful Heart

It’s that time of year again. Like every year, we wanted to take this Wedding Wednesday to share our thankfulness.

This year has brought a lot of new opportunities and changes for us. We’ve added another niece to our lives, had job changes, and have continued to invest so much into our photography business and the lives of our clients.

This business has brought more love and joy into our lives than we thought possible. This year, we want to say just how thankful we are for the blessing of Katie Jaynes Photography and all the couples, families, babies we have been blessed to serve.

Thankful for Our Couples and Friends

One of our goals when starting this business was to be able to share joy and create relationships- and this year has given us both.
With all of the “business” things that come along with the photography, it’s easy to get so wrapped up in the details and forget about the people and the smiles that we are allowed to photograph.

Those smiles are more than just a scheduled session to us – they are a stories and lives we get to be a part of. That’s a blessing we never want to forget or take lightly.

Sure, for some weddings – it rains. Maybe people are late or a dog won’t corporate. But in the end, we are beyond thankful for the clients who allow us into their lives and to capture those special moments.

Hopefully those moments they will always remember.
Having a photographer at a wedding or for a session is a vulnerable moment. We are blessed and thankful for a business that allows us to share joy with others through our job.

Reminder to Be Thankful

This is the time of year when everyone has two options: either get caught up in the business of the year or slow down and consider all you’ve been given.

Of course, we aren’t better than anyone else when it comes to being thankful the rest of the year, but these holidays, as you’re spending time with family and friends, we hope you take the time to count your blessings.

If you’re an engaged couple or planning a wedding, this can be an even more stressful time of year. Everyone will be asking questions or your vendors aren’t responding as quickly as you like – but being engaged during the holidays can also be a magical time of year. Slow down, make traditions, and enjoy it.
