If you didn’t know, we love Anderson, SC. It’s the place we’ve come to call home. We met here, we went to college here, and we bought our first home here.

Best Anderson, SC Wedding Venues

One of the few things we love more than Anderson is the couples we serve. Because we love them so much, we want to make the wedding planning process as fun and simple as possible for brides and their soon-to-be grooms.

We love brides and we love Anderson, so we want to combine those two loves by offering a listing of some well-known venues, as well as some hidden gems in and near Anderson County.

To help out all the engaged couples out there, we’ve done some of the work for you. We want your day to be as special as possible, and that starts with the perfect venue.

Heyward Manor

Another newer venue in the Anderson Area, Heyward Manor quickly became one of the go-to venues for Anderson county. Just in the past 2 years, I’ve been to Heyward for several engagement sessions, bridal sessions and weddings – and each session looks so different.

Not only is Heyward Manor a STUNNING venue, but it’s also reasonably priced. That’s what makes it the first choice for so many couples.

Heyward Manor is located less than an hour from Greenville, South Carolina. Situated among a tree farm, green meadows, landscaped gardens and a natural lake, a beautiful white cathedral-like barn invites guests to explore what’s beyond its handcrafted wooden doors. With three large windows at the front; glass, French doors lining both sides; and a breathtaking display of windows at the back; Heyward Manor is a photographer’s dream with unlimited natural light. When the sun goes down, delicate chandeliers light up the inner whitewashed walls, outlined by natural cedar beams.

They offer 5 “standard” packages to choose from as well as some customized options. Regardless of the size or your vision, Heyward Manor is worth checking out.

With each of these packages, you’re getting A LOT of amenities included:

  • Bridal Suite
  • Groom’s Room
  • Catering Kitchen
  • Bluetooth Sound System
  • Wooden Farm Tables
  • Folding Wooden Wedding Chairs
  • Premium Décor Closet & Fine China Closet
  • Wooden Cross & Draping
  • Set up, Tear Down & Cleaning
  • Unlimited Access to Heyward Manor for Additional Photo Shoots

Venue at Edgewood

The Venue at Edgewood is one of the few venues in Anderson County we haven’t photographed yet, but we REALLY HOPE we have the chance soon. All of the pictures we’ve seen look stunning and the property has so many perfect portrait spots.

According to the Venue at Edgewood website, they have a variety of different pre-made packages depending on how many days you’ll need the venue for. They have a traditional package for a Friday to Saturday wedding or if you want the property for longer, you can rent the space for Thursday through Saturday.

The property consists of a custom crafted hemlock barn which accommodates 250 people with 7279 sq ft of heated and cooled space. The property offers stunning views and ample room to spread out. In addition to the event space, there are two custom cottages for rent, built with the bride and groom in mind, an amphitheater that seats approximately 200 with power outlets and coming soon an intimate custom chapel at the waterfront which seats approximately 60 people with beautiful walking trails winding throughout the property and along the waterfront. Great care was taken in the landscape design throughout with beautiful accents complimenting all corners of the property.

What we really like about Edgewood is they have several places for the ceremony. Not only does this give options but also has a built-in backup plan if it happens to rain.

The Bleckley Inn

Downtown Anderson, SC Historic Wedding Venue

We just adored photographing at the Bleckley Inn over the past few years.

Through the years, we’ve photographed several events at the Bleckley Inn, from corporate events, weddings, and even the “Best Of Anderson” awards. We have loved every one of them!

The Bleckley is a historic figure in Anderson. You can ask anyone from Anderson, and they will tell you about the historic beauty of the Inn.

One of the best things about the Bleckley Inn is any of your guests who come in from out of town can stay right there in the Inn in beautiful Downtown Anderson.

In fact, it’s one of the best venues for anyone who has a lot of guests coming from far away. All they have to do is walk down the stairs, and they are at the wedding!

Inside of the Bleckley Inn, they have the Carriage Room. According to the website, it can seat up to 400 people! They also do catering in-house.

Evergreen Plantation

We could try and tell you all the different things about Evergreen Plantation, but we think they did an excellent job of doing it themselves,

“This 10,000+ square foot building is the ideal place to dance the evening away. As the grand doors open, the guests are welcomed by the remains of a 150-year-old Walnut Tree.

In its second life, the tree centers the entryway and leads everyone into the grand banquet room of the Lodge. The dance floor sits beneath the Scottish Chandelier and towering stone fireplace.

Complete with a sound system and stage, any band could lead a most perfect waltz all the while onlookers watch from the balcony. The Lodge is completed with a chef’s dream commercial kitchen, the place to prepare a delicious meal.”

One thing that really sets them apart is their grand piano. You can have someone playing while guests arrive!

The Oaks

The Oaks Wedding Venue has just about anything you could want from an outdoor wedding venue! Beautiful scenery, giant trees, and a pond!

The Oaks is the perfect spot for a fall or spring wedding (summer in the South get’s a little toasty!)

Club at Brookstone

The Club at Brookstone has been a staple of the golf community in Anderson for decades. It’s one of the most popular golf courses in Anderson County, but it hasn’t always been known as a wedding venue.

In 2016, The Club at Brookstone started major renovations on their golf course and amenities, then in 2020 they decided to renovate the events space as well. All of these upgrades have created a wonderful experience for brides in Anderson.

Their Knot page explains the space perfectly,

The Club at Brookstone makes for amazing wedding experience at an even better price. Located in Anderson, SC and just a few minutes south of Greenville, the renovated clubhouse property sits on a beautiful well-kept golf course making for breathtaking photos. This family-owned gem is here to provide for our brides and grooms with indoor and outdoor property providing options for a range of different themes and color palates.

This venue is great for those who may have larger weddings (more than 200). Their outdoor ceremony space gives plenty of room for all your guests without them feeling crowded.

Huitt Farms

Huitt Farms is one of the newer venues in Anderson. Since they opened in 2017, they have created quite a splash in Anderson. We haven’t photographed a wedding at the venue yet, but we’ve heard so many great things about the owners and the space.

This venue features an all-white shiplap barn that is nothing short of breathtaking. As soon as you walk in, you’ll fall in love with the space. The massive ceilings will make you feel like you’re in a movie.

While the venue and grounds are gorgeous, the story behind the venue and it’s origins is even better,

Our family has had everlasting, timeless, and precious memories here on our family’s farm, and we hold its sentimental meaning so close to our hearts. We built Huitt Farms venue on the foundation of love, the same thing that my parents originally built this land from, and we hope each and every one of our guests experiences and feels the love we have put into it.

Huitt Farms offers indoor and outdoor space, a bridal suite, a barroom, and so much more. If you love the white barn, clean, chic look – you can’t miss this one.
