2020 Best of KJP Weddings

A Year In Review – KJP Weddings

The year 2020 was one for the books. So much unexpected, so much having to go with the flow, and so many things that feel like they were “taken” by the year 2020. Regardless of all of the events of 2020, we were blessed and lucky enough to continue to serve couples.

Sure, a handful of our couples had to postpone/reschedule their big day, but we were still able to photograph 24 amazing weddings and 69 portraits sessions, all while navigating being business owners in a pandemic, and then me shooting the majority of our year while pregnant!

What was crazy was that 14 of the 24 weddings happened within a 4 month time span, or 15.5 week period (September 5-December 23). When I see those dates, I am like, “oh wow, no wonder we were exhausted this Fall!”

Our Fall season was so busy partly because of a few covid reschedules or couples with short engagements just deciding to go ahead and get married sooner than later with not knowing what covid might throw their way.

I am so thankful for understanding and caring clients, and for my health throughout this season while being pregnant, since I was pregnant for 20 of our 24 weddings. As we neared the last few weddings, I couldn’t have survived without my belly support band, compression socks, and the realest MVP of wedding season, Liquid IV packets in my water bottle! I think I drank so much to stay hydrated that I deserve to be paid by them! Ha!

I’ll never forget being absolutely stunned when we showed up to several of our weddings this year and the BRIDES gifted ME with a baby gift for Grayson on their wedding day when they had a million things going on. Just thinking about the way our couples love us so well brings me to tears.

Here are a few of our favorite images from this year, in no particular order:

A big thank-you to our couples!

As we are ending this year and we start looking towards next year, we’ve been blown away by all the wonderful brides, grooms, families, and so many more people who we’ve been blessed to photograph this year. We never want to take for granted just how wonderfully blessed we are to be able to do something we love and work with amazing people as we are doing it.

Our couples are more than just clients, they are our friends. We talk with them for many months leading up to their day, then we are a part of their most intimate wedding day moments. We form a bond with them and truly care for them so much!
We always strive to be more than photographers, we want to be trusted friends who are invested in our couples lives.

As we look back on this year, we can’t help but be incredibly grateful and in awe of every single one of our couples who endured wedding planning during a pandemic. You guys are our heroes! We love each and every one of these beautiful couples!
