Clemson SC Engagement Session | Sarah & Kinch

Clemson Botanical Gardens Engagement Photos

Engagement photos are always a good time! They’re my favorite because it’s a low-key time for the couple to get used to us and to having their picture taken! Typically, this is one of the first times we meet a couple.

We have known Sarah for years, but this was the first time we met Kinch (and their pup, Oscar!). We loved that they brought their dog to the session! We enjoyed getting to hear more about Sarah and Kinch and their relationship. We love hearing all of the details about how a couple met and their story together!

Sarah and Kinch met as a result of family setting them up. Their first date was to Starbucks. We love a good coffee date, so we loved that!

Kinch actually got his brand new puppy, Oscar, on the day he met Sarah in person. Oscar was the size of a venti coffee then! And oh my gah, I can’t even imagine how cute he was because I think he is adorable now as an almost 2 year old!

To an outsider, our questioning during an engagement session might sound a little like an interview, but we genuinely want to know ALL about our couples! What makes them tick, what they love about each other, and what they like to do together. We think knowing these types of things, and more, helps us to serve them better.

Originally, our plan was to meet Sarah and Kinch in Clayton, GA to meander all around trails and mountain views. On the day of the shoot, Sarah and Kinch had come to Anderson to have lunch with Sarah’s family, so they had already driven 2 hours. Then, we were going to drive about an hour away to Clayton. So, a lot of driving for them, but they were troopers, and were so prepared to do all of that driving.

A few hours before we were supposed to meet in Clayton, Sarah called me, letting me know that they had checked the radar and found that a big rainstorm was coming to that area. We knew there was a small chance of rain, but that drastically changed. So Sarah suggested the botanical gardens, and it was a HUGE success!

We can’t wait for the Overstreet wedding in November! It will take place near Augusta, where Kinch’s family owns a bed and breakfast! They will be getting married at a cute church one block away and have their reception at the B&B! I just love how sentimental that is! We can’t wait to celebrate the happy couple!!
