Welcome to the blog. Here you're going to find everything from heart-warming marriage stories, to beautiful images of our clients. We want to invite you into our lives.
Katelin and Tyler were married at the beautiful Bleckley Inn right in the heart of Downtown Anderson. Katelin said she went to a friends’ wedding at the Bleckley several years ago before she and Tyler even met, and thought to herself, “I’m going to get married here one day”. She just loved it, and we don’t blame her!
Tyler and Katelin met through mutual friends of theirs. One theme throughout their day was how close they are with their friend group. They were very intentional to enjoy and soak up every moment and they prioritized celebrating their big day with their family and friends. With a wedding party of 23 people, it was clear they were well-loved by many. Many friends and family were intentionally included in their day, from gifts, to florals, to vendors. They had friends hands and handiwork displayed all around them.
The day of the wedding was absolutely gorgeous. Perfect Fall weather in the 60s and lots of sunshine! We were so grateful for a beautiful day, that perfectly served as a backdrop for the new Mr. & Mrs. on their wedding day.
Tyler and Katelin were all smiles and laughter, radiating pure joy, throughout the whole day. This is no different than the day Tyler proposed to Katelin. We got to be there to photograph it all at Sassafras Mountain and truly, we have never seen a more joyful couple! Their love for each other and zeal for life is so contagious and beautiful.
While Tyler and Katelin shared a sweet first look before the ceremony, Katelin saved her grandmother’s dress and veil as a surprise for Tyler when she walked down the aisle. We love when brides save a little surprise, like a veil for the walk down the aisle. Katelin’s grandmother had sewn the lace dress and the veil over 70 years ago, by hand!
During their first look, our sweet bride and groom shared an intimate moment of exchanging gifts. Tyler’s gift to Katelin was a sketch of the two of them praying, and was drawn by a young boy from their church. Katelin was moved to tears by this sweet gift.
Katelin’s florist, Skye, of Wild Vine Floristry, is one of her dear friends and was also one of her bridesmaids. Skye grew the pink dahlia that was the focal flower in Katelin’s bouquet herself! That gorgeous dahlia doubled as Skye’s carry-on as she brought with her on the plane and traveled across the country just to add it as a special touch in Katelin’s bouquet. Talk about a true friend!
The ceremony was sweet and personalized by their pastor Steven Watson, who knows them as a couple well. It was again, an intimate and joyful time for Katelin and Tyler.
Their first dance was so fun! They started with a slow dance and then transitioned to a fun, up-beat song to which they had choreographed some very sweet dance moves! They had so much fun on the dance floor together throughout the evening.
Tyler and Katelin, we are so happy for you in your new journey together. We are thrilled that you would include us in your season of engagement and your wedding day! We know the Lord will do great things through your marriage!
