Dylan and Sam | Charleston SC Engagement Session

Hampton Park Engagement Session

I first met Dylan and Sam when I took their proposal photos last Fall when Dylan proposed in Clemson before a football game. I had been talking with him and planning their surprise proposal with him for weeks and was so thrilled to finally get to meet Sam!

Dylan proposed in their normal tailgating area, right outside of Memorial Stadium. It was the most perfect spot because they regularly take a gamely tailgating picture in that exact spot.

When I finally met Sam right after Dylan proposed, I just love her! It was so sweet to get to witness Sam and Dylan being greeted by their family and friends who were just down the street and then came to surprise Sam. It was such a sweet day and Dylan and Sam are loved so well by their people. I can only imagine how amazing their wedding day will be.

Charleston Engagement Photos

I got to photograph Dylan and Sam in the downtown Charleston area two weeks ago for their engagement photos. They have lived in the Charleston area, on Johns Island, for two years now. Sam grew up in Clemson and they both went to Clemson University.

Sam said she knew she was ready to make a big move to somewhere else after graduation, but Dylan took some convincing at first because he loves Clemson so much. They have both enjoyed living in the low country and have enjoyed making it their home together. I don’t blame them one bit, Charleston is such a beautiful place.

We met at Hampton Park, which is just a few streets away from the heart of downtown Charleston. The park boasts Spanish moss, beautiful walking paths, and large oak trees that look like they’re from a movie. It was the perfect location for photos that look perfectly Charleston-like, but was thankfully secluded enough so we didn’t have to dodge people in the background. I just loved it!

Wedding Plans

Sam and Dylan will be married at the end of October this year in Pendleton at Iron Oak Barn. We can’t wait to celebrate them with all of their closest family and friends. We know it will be a perfect Fall wedding!
