Anderson, SC | Evergreen Plantation Wedding

Venue, town, couple’s name: Katelyn and John were married April 23rd at beautiful Evergreen Plantation in Starr, SC. Evergreen is just beautiful and has so many beautiful spots for a couple’s wedding festivities from start to finish. Katelyn and John were married at the front of the house on the perfect, southern porch.

I first met Katelyn and John in January for their engagement session. We decided to meet at the Clemson botanical gardens, which are amazingly beautiful no matter the time of year. That day was so so cold, but Katelyn and John were absolute troopers and didn’t complain one bit.

Their wedding day was a perfect day all around. First, the weather was amazing. It was sunny and comfortably warm for an outdoor ceremony. All of the amazing flowers were in bloom and lush and green. 

The Wedding Day

Wedding day emotions were high but in the best ways! Katelyn was nervous but so excited when we arrived while the girls were getting ready. She said she was anxious but also was so ready to be married! John was calm and had a go-with-the-flow type demeanor leading up to the ceremony. 

Katelyn and her girls got heir hair and makeup done in the bridal suite house right in the middle of the Evergreen property. The Belle Beauty team, Tiah and Brooke, were amazing and did a wonderful job helping the ladies get wedding ready!

Then we took some individual wedding party pictures before the ceremony. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful and was performed by Craig, a family friend. 

After their ceremony, we took some family photos, wedding party portraits, and then some portraits of John and Katelyn together around the property. They were more than ready for their reception and a time of celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs.!

They had a taco bar and the most beautiful cake from Holly’s Cakes!

Katelyn and John were featured in Town Bride Magazine, a magazine that focuses on all Anderson has to offer in terms of wedding planning. I loved seeing one of their engagement photos featured in the article about them.
